How Do You Manage Your Homeschool Budget?

At the beginning of every school year, we decide what curricula we really, truly need to purchase for the year.  According to statistics, the average homeschooling family spends $500 per child per year on homeschooling supplies.  We certainly keep that number down, ourselves!  Some of the ways we keep our homeschooling affordable: we use the library, re-useable curricula, free online books and real books (often already on our shelves) instead of textbooks.

If you are homeschooling on a shoestring yourself this year, you may enjoy one of my past posts: Can You Homeschool on a Shoestring? You can also click on “Free Homeschooling Resources” in the sidebar for all sorts of great homeschooling freebies.

So, how do you manage your homeschool budget?
