Literature of Identity and Belonging: A high school level reading and writing intensive course exploring themes of identity, belonging and adolescent psychology in contemporary literature and the lives of gifted adolescents. Full term (two semesters). $375 US. Ages 12 and up.
The Hero’s Journey: A high school level reading and writing intensive exploration of Joseph Campbell’s theory of the universal narrative theme in literature, movies and storytelling. Full Term (two semesters). $375 US Ages 12 and up.
Statistics for Skeptics: A one-semester crash course in understanding enough statistics to intelligently evaluate news reports, scientific articles, and whether broccoli can both cause and cure cancer. Prerequisites: A solid grasp of pre-algebra topics, including fractions, decimals, and percents, and a facility with manipulating basic linear and quadratic algebraic equations.Fall semester. $185 US
Think Your Way Out of a Paper Bag: Critical Thinking and Argumentation: This one semester course will introduce students to principles of argumentation, logical fallacies and essential media literacy and research skills. Students will learn to analyze arguments from a variety of sources and construct effective arguments of their own. This course makes an excellent companion to Statistics for Skeptics. Spring semester. $185 US.
