Where: Saint Matthias Church Hall, 6141 Chebucto Road, Halifax (across from the Maritime Conservatory) and at the corner of Windsor and Chebucto Rd.
This is a great hall with a stage, terrific acoustics, kitchen and real wood floors – great for dancing! There is plenty of parking and it is an accessible building.
When: April 17th and May 15th, 7pm – 10pm.
Music for the April 17th dance will be provided by Leanne Aucoin on fiddle and Harvey Beaton. Fiddler for May 15 will be Mike Hall.
Admission: $7/person and $24 for a family of four.
Scholarship Available: Scholarship applications are available at the April 17th dance. New: the scholarship can be used for a music camp of choice.

More info: Every age from babes-in-arms to grandparents are in attendance, live music, instructions for all of the dances and very patient experienced dancers to help you get through the sets if you haven’t done them before. There is usually a canteen available with snack type food, the event is smoke-free and no alcohol is available. If you have any budding musicians in your family there is usually an opportunity for them to perform when the pros take a break between sets.
