Kimberly Smith achieved his Bachelor of Fine Arts from York University in 1981. He worked for a short time as an actor then got hooked on telling stories with motion pictures. He began his apprenticeship in 1986 and was granted membership in the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC) in 1988. He worked as a freelancer in a wide variety of crew positions through the nineties in Nova Scotia and helped found The Atlantic District Council of the DGC. He founded Creative Action Digital Video in Kings County, Nova Scotia in 1997, and has been helping ordinary people tell their stories with video ever since.
Kimberly, a Friend of the South Shore Waldorf School, developed this successful process with Dr. Michael Corbett in Acadia University’s Department of Education teaching his method to almost forty second year Education students over two terms. www.creativeaction.ca
Directions to the School: SSWS is located at 64 School Road in Blockhouse. Take Exit 11 off Highway 103. Turn towards Lunenburg. After the overpass over the highway, turn right on School Road. Follow the road for approximately 500 m. The schoolhouse is on the left, at the corner of Parish Road.
