Create masterpieces using a variety of media – from clay to painting and printmaking.

Atlantic Cirque

March 11-15, 9am-4pm (early dropoff/late pickup available)
Age 7-12, $300 + tax
Students will learn everything from trampoline, juggling, stilts, human pyramids, aerial apparatus (trapeze, cerceau, rope) and more. We also play camp games and prepare routines to present at the end of the week.
Brain Awareness Week Activities
March 11-14 at the Brain Repair Centre, LSRI, 1348 Summer Street, Dalhousie University
Thursday March 14th: Brain Fair 10am – 2pm
A public event with games, competitions, prizes, experiments, demonstrations, interactive booths and all kinds of brain-related information. Open to all ages. No fee. No booking required, just show up.
Thursday March 14th: Neuroscience as Art Competition
Pictures of cool neuroscience images will be auctioned for charity. Prints and postcards will be available for sale too.
Canada Games Centre March Break Camp

Typical days will include everything from swimming, playing physically active games in our Field House, crafts, and classroom activities, as well as outdoor play opportunities on our playground.

Irish Dance March Break Camps
Rising Tide Irish Dance Academy, Bedford
March 11-15
9am–4pm. Extra early drop-off 8-8:30, early drop-off 8:30-8:45am, delayed pick-up 4:05-4:30, extra delayed pick-up 4:30-5pm
Fees: $285/dancer, $255/sibling. Early pick-up or delayed pick-up $5per or $10 for both each day. Extra early drop-off or extra delayed pick-up: $10per or $20 for both each day. Day rate of $75/day available.
Camp 1: New to Irish dance and current Rising Tide beginners. Ages 5–8
Camp 2: Experienced Irish dancers, open to dancers in Advanced Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced (note need at least four Advanced dancers to facilitate this group at camp).

Displays an ancient world and some of the oldest dinosaur bones in Canada. Meet some of the ancient creatures that lived here millions of years ago: the world’s first reptiles, early dinosaurs, giant dragonflies, an ancestor of frogs and a sow-bug-like creature as long as a baseball bat. Explore mineral treasures of Nova Scotia exposed when the great Fundy tides washed away the sea cliffs.

Black Loyalist Heritage Centre
Birchtown
Learn the story of the world’s largest free African population outside of Africa, in the late 18th century in Nova Scotia. Enjoy the view of Birchtown Bay when you climb up the Shaw Turret, which commemorates all Black Loyalist communities in Nova Scotia. Enter the Centre’s Lindsay Gallery and immerse yourself in the multimedia presentation of the Black Loyalist journey from Africa to the American colonies, then to Nova Scotia and back to Africa. Explore the virtual copy of the Carlton’s Book of Negroes and search for an ancestor who may have experienced part of this incredible journey.

Firefighters’ Museum of Nova Scotia
Discover the history of firefighting in this province. See the types of fire engines used from the 1800s to the 1930s. Marvel at antique hand-drawn and operated engines such as Canada’s oldest horse-drawn steam engine, an 1863 Amoskeag Steamer. Take the wheel of a 1933 Chev Bickle pumper and see collections of antique toy fire engines, shoulder crests, patches and badges from fire departments around the world.
