Canada’s Parks Day Celebrations in Nova Scotia!

This Saturday, July 16th is Canada’s Parks Day! It takes place on the 3rd Saturday of July each year.

Nova Scotia Provincial parks and historical sites as well as Parks Canada sites are participating. You will likely find fun and educational family activities at a park or museum near you. Some activities include:

Colchester County

Aboriginal Traditional and Ecological Knowledge with Gerald Gloade
Shubenacadie Provincial Wildlife Park
1:00pm to 3:00pm

Introduction to Geocaching
Macelmons Pond Provincial Park
1:00pm to 3:00pm

Kings County

Wildflower Walk and Forest Fighting with Smokey Bear
Blomidon Provincial Park
1:30pm

Yarmouth County

Scavenger Hunt & BBQ
Ellenwood Lake Provincial Park
11:45am to 1:00pm
