The Great Canadian Geography Challenge National Final will be held on May 21, 2009 online at The Geochallenge Website.
A minimum of one student from each province and territory — all accompanied by a teacher-monitor — will be linked up in a special competition environment, live across the country. Teachers, family and friends will be able to track the students’ progress in real-time by logging onto a special section of the Web site.
The top three students will be declared the Canadian National Champions and will receive HSBC Bank Canada scholarships of $3,000, $2,000 and $1,000 respectively. Additional prizes will be awarded to all students who compete at the national level.
