Maritime Conservatory Summer Programs
Children’s Dance Camps
July 4-7, 10-14, 24-28, Aug 8-11, 14-18, 21-25, 28-Sept 1. 9am-4pm, Ages 5-12; $250 + registration fee (4-day camp $200)
Designed for children who wish to explore a variety of movement forms. Dance classes include ballet, jazz, modern and more! Camp days will also feature arts and crafts, outdoor play and workshops on everything from creative composition to music. Each week culminates in a demonstration for family and friends.
Junior Dance Intensive
July 17-21, 9am-4pm, age 10-14 or entering RAD Gr 3-5; $400 before June 30, then $440 + registration
A unique opportunity for young dancers wishing to further their individual strengths and abilities in a supportive environment. Dancers will develop their artistic skills by participating in ballet, jazz, modern, character dance and composition classes tailored to elevate technique and inspire creativity. Workshops throughout the week will also allow them to explore dance history, anatomy and more! Each week of camp will culminate in an exciting demonstration for family and friends.
Summer Dance Intensive
August 14-25, 9am-4:30pm, Ages 12+, minimum 2 years dance experience; Before June 30 $825, then $900 + registration fee
Daily focused technique classes in a variety of dance styles including ballet, pointe (if appropriate), repertoire/variations, modern, jazz, composition, and conditioning. Study with our own renowned faculty and guest artists to boost technique and confidence in a supportive environment. Billeting available for out of town students.
Brass Camp
August 21-25, 9am-4pm, Ages 8-18, $325 + registration fee
A week-long introduction in brass instrumental performance for students age 8-18 with at least one year of experience on their preferred instrument (trumpet/cornet, horn, baritone/euphonium, trombone, tuba/bass). The camp will provide both individual and group instruction (sectionals, master classes, and large ensemble), culminating in a performance at the end of the week. 
String Camp
July 10-14, 9am-4pm; $325 + registration fee
For string players, age 6 to 14. Every day will include chamber music, technique and repertoire classes, rhythm and movement classes, arts and crafts and outdoor recreation.
Summer Theory Intensive
Negotiable dates/times; $1045 + registration fee
This summer we are again offering our popular summer theory intensive camps at different levels for those students who are too busy to attend weekly theory classes during the academic school year. The camps are 10 days long, each spanning two weeks of 3 hours a day for a total of 30 hours. These Camps will prepare you for the History 9, Harmony 9, 10 & ARCT, Analysis ARCT, Theory 6 or 8 theory examinations of the Royal Conservatory of Music this August.
Musical Theatre Intensive
August 21-26, 10am-5pm, Group I: ages 14-17 Group II: ages 18 and up. $500 + registration fee
Focus on vocal technique, acting through song, and audition preparation. It will offer an opportunity to expand your repertoire and broaden your network of friends and industry professionals.
Sing, Dance and Play!
July 17-21, 9am-4pm; $270 + registration fee, age 5-12
Camp days feature music and dance classes, arts and crafts, and outdoor play. The week of camp will culminate in an exciting demonstration for family & friends.

OUTSIDE NOVA SCOTIA

Explore French-Immersion Program
Explore is an intensive French-immersion program. If your child is interested in learning or improving French and travelling to a new part of Canada, then Explore might be the perfect program.
Age 16+ – sessions last 31-33 days.
Ages 13-15 – three-week sessions
Application Deadline is May 31st. The program is funded by the Government of Canada. Each participant is allocated $2800, the funds are transferred directly to the host institution of Explore. Costs that participants are required to pay out of pocket are: travel expenses, registration fee (max. $275), and personal expenses.
