French Camps
All camps and workshops offered FREE!   Registration is required to participate.
Les Campeurs, ages 6-16 yrs, Mornings 10-12 pm, campers sign up for the entire week.
Campers start the day with an ice breaker activity each morning, then move into break out rooms to do a mini-lesson. Afterwards they do a vocabulary based activity relating to the mini-lesson. Camp also includes physical activities such as dance party, scavenger hunts, stretches and yoga.
Les Ateliers, ages 10-16 yrs, Afternoons 1-3 pm, campers sign up for individual workshops.
Weekly workshops: Monday – Conversation Club, Tuesday – Zumba or Yoga, Wednesday – Crafting or Cooking, Friday – Book Club, Thursdays, we will be partnering with Kids Code Jeunesse to offer coding workshops (ages 8-12 yrs, space limited) where kids will learn to code, create and communicate!

Kids will design a fun animation to share with the other coders about who they are and where they are from. Learn how to design a character in scratch, make them move and travel the world!
Session 2: July 22, 2021 @ 1-3 PM (ADT) Let’s Play
Tag – you’re it! Join us as we build a simple tag game including scoring, costume changes and sound. Participants will build the project using the drag-and-drop block coding platform, Scratch, and have the opportunity to set the stage, add characters, and make the game their own! 
Session 3: July 29, 2021 @ 1-3 PM (ADT) Canadian Animals
Join us on a trip across the country where we will use the drag-and-drop block coding platform, Scratch, to profile a Canadian animal, build its habitat, and teach each other about the creatures that live beyond our backyards. 
Session 4: August 5, 2021 @ 1-3 PM (ADT) Let’s Draw
Unleash your inner artist and create a digital masterpiece using the drag-and-drop block coding platform, Scratch. Learn to use the pen tool, steps, and turns to transform your computer into a spirograph-making machine! 
Session 5: August 12, 2021 @ 1-3 PM (ADT) Our Heroines
Students learn about three French-Canadian heroines from Quebec and represent their stories in Scratch. 
Session 6: August 19, 2021 @ 1-3 PM (ADT) Space Burps
In a zero-gravity environment like space, there are no forces to keep your food down and the gas up – so it’s a bit of a gamble what might come out when you burp! Join us for a trip to space where participants will build a project using the drag-and-drop block coding platform, Scratch, which we guarantee will get the giggles going.

Summer Programs at the Maritime Conservatory
Children’s Dance Camps
July 5-9, July 12-16, July 26-30. Ages 5-12 (groups divided by age) Camp days will be filled with classes in ballet, jazz, national dance and more! Demonstration for family and friends at the end of each camp week.
Dance camps run from 9:00am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday. $250 + registration fee
Summer Dance Intensive
August 9-13 & August 16-20 ,Ages 12+, minimum lower school 6 or grade 4 RAD or equivalent training. Classes divided by level of experience. Ideal for serious dance students hoping to advance their technical and performance skills. $900 + registration fee
Music & Dance, All of it!
July 19-23 9am-4:30pm. Ages 7-12, no experience necessary. Five days jam packed with inspiring creative movement and music skills. Your children’s day will have alternating dance and music classes as well as drama and choreography, including music, to work towards a short final performance. $270 + registration fee
String Camp
July 5-9, 9am-4pm; $250 + registration fee
For young string players, up to age 12, with at least two years experience playing violin and viola. Every day will include chamber music, technique and repertoire classes, rhythm and movement classes, arts and crafts and outdoor recreation.
Brass Camp
August 23-27, Ages 8-18, 9am-4pm.
Must have at least one year of experience on their preferred instrument (trumpet/cornet, horn, baritone/euphonium, trombone, tuba/bass). The camp will provide both individual and group instruction (sectionals, master classes, and large ensemble), culminating in a performance at the end of the week.
Summer Musical Theatre Intensive
August 23-27, Group I: ages 14-17 Group II: ages 18 and up. $400/week + registration fee (Scholarships available for post secondary students)
Join New York City trained musical theatre professionals Katie Cochrane, Patrick Maubert and industry master class practitioners as they guide you through discovering what makes you shine! Focus on vocal technique, acting through song, and audition preparation. It will offer an opportunity to expand your repertoire and broaden your network of friends and industry professionals.
Klezmer Camp
July 19th -23th Cost $150,
9:00am-12:00pm for advanced students and students who have some knowledge of Klezmer already.
1:00pm-4:00pm For beginners (Participants must have at least a level four on their instrument, the ability to read music at a basic level, and the desire to be creative and free.)

Here’s where we work with objects –  juggling balls, diabolos, flower sticks, and tubes, and uncover their performance potential (and those of the youth, too!)

A wild and glorious celebration of circus, where each youth discovers the skill and presentation style they’re most excited by, and then presents it in a final group show.

Junior Youth

Join us for a fun week of choral singing, vocal exploration, and other art-based activities! The Junior Youth stream of Choral Companion will be offered as a day camp. Registrants will participate in daily ensemble rehearsals and group vocal instruction. Registration fee includes music rental, refreshments, and participation in Choral Companion. Lunch is not provided. 
Senior Youth
August 13-19, for ages 13-18, 1-5pm $115
he senior youth stream is offered as a series of afternoon rehearsals and workshops. Registrants will participate in ensemble rehearsals, exploring both contemporary choral and musical theatre repertoire, and receive one-on-one instruction from voice staff. Workshop topics will include performance anxiety, navigating voice change, and other chorister skills.
