Are You a Shutterbug Like Me? Ultimate Photography Bundle

***This Bundle Offer has Ended. Stay Tuned for More in the Coming Months!***

Are You a Shutterbug Like Me?

Are you a shutterbug like me? I always have a camera or iPhone in hand ready to catch that beautiful sunset … the otherwise unbelievable amount of snow … my children’s beautiful smiles … I don’t want to forget any of it!

It’s SO important to be able to savour it all and relish the moments AND THEN to be able to look back and relish those moments all over again. I always derive pleasure from it – especially photos of family vacations in sunny Florida while we’re enduring the dead of winter! Our kids enjoy remembering our family history together with us.

That’s where photos come in. It’s so easy to get snap-happy these days. Remember when we had to carry around large, heavy camers? Now we just reach into our pockets for our smartphones or mini-cameras and start clicking away. And no worrying about running out of film!

If you’re a shutterbug like me, dreaming of an expensive DSLR camera you can’t afford, the problem is that the photos never seem good enough! Your cheap camera takes so long between photos that you miss your daughter’s split leap at her dance recital! You think you got the perfect shot of your child blowing out the candles, but all you’ve managed to capture is … a blur.

The Ultimate Photography Bundle

If you can relate, I have good news for you! My friends at Ultimate Bundles have put together an incredible product to help with your photography woes, and mine. It’s called The Ultimate Digital Photography Bundle (Beginner’s Edition), and it contains a curated collection of ebooks and video training guides to help you become a better photographer.

All the resources have been provided by professional, world-renowned photographers who are experts in teaching others – even complete beginners. You won’t need to switch up to a more expensive camera to make full use of the bundle (even if you just use your iPhone for photographs), and you don’t need to neglect your family for weeks of training! You can learn everything in mother-sized chunks – whenever you have a spare moment. And when I do finally save up for the DSLR I’ve been dreaming of, there is a pair of great e-books in the bundle for DSLR newbies!

Click here to see the full range of ebooks and training courses included in The Ultimate Photography Bundle (Beginner’s Edition).

There’s even better news! Everything in the bundle has a combined total value of $555, but for this week only, The Ultimate Bundles Team is selling the entire bundle for just $37 – a discount of more than 90%! What’s more, they’re also throwing in a FREE copy of FX Photo Studio Pro software from MacPhun (which provides stunning filters and photography effects) worth $29.99! Wow!

No blurriness, no exposure nightmares, no bad angles. Just perfect, happy memories to look forward to!

2 Things to Do for Yourself on Mother’s Day

As a mother, especially as a homeschooling mother, it can be easy to get frustrated, discouraged, and downright grumpy. With your kids stuck to you most every moment of the day and the homeschool year still dragging on, it can be hard to keep perspective on it all. Why did you decide to be a SAHM or a WAHM? Why on earth did you start homeschooling anyway?

things to do for yourself on mother's day

2 Things to Do for Yourself on Mother’s Day

There are two things I try to do for myself every year and they both involve reading, something I find very difficult to ferret out time to do these days (as a homeschooling WAHM)! Mother’s Day is the perfect time to treat yourself! You can even sit back in a bubble bath and read (my personal favourite) or tell your family you’re going to the local coffee shop for an hour. So, what should you read to get some perspective and stay refreshed?

1) Read a book about parenting. We’re all parents first, regardless of how or where are children are learning. It can be easy to feel like nobody else is going through the same challenges with their kids. Reading a parenting book can remind you that we ALL go through those challenges! And even more important, you’re not a bad parent because your children aren’t perfect Stepford children! Mine sure aren’t. To my horror, one of them even turned into a fairly typical teenager, ack!

Reading a parenting book also reminds me of all those little skills or tricks I have learned in the past and have someone forgotten to use. This includes, listening to my kids and getting their eye contact and/or putting a hand on their shoulder before requesting something of them. It’s easy to be so focused on what needs to be done that we forget about connecting! This year, I’m already reading great parenting books from the parenting section of the Ultimate Homemaking Bundle.

Because I’ve been more of a grumpy mom than a great one recently, I’m starting with From Grumpy to Great.

2) Read a book about homeschooling. Even if you’ve been homeschooling for ten years like me, reading a book about homeschooling can not only refresh you, but give you new ideas. Most of the time I like to read a book I’ve never read before, but sometimes I will pick up old favourites like The Well-Trained Mind and read over their personal stories to give me a boost.

This year, I’m starting with Homeschooling Day by Day.

What books will you make a point of reading this year? What things to do for yourself on Mother’s Day would you recommend? Please let me know in the comments below!

Happy homeschooling and parenting!

Kimberly

The Mom Conference

Day 5 of The Mom Conference is today, April 11th!

I was still sewing yesterday (putting last minute touches on my daughter’s Frozen Elsa costume), and was able to listen to a few of The Mom Conference speakers on my iPhone while I worked away. Mom Conference Day 4: Free Online Apr 10

The Mom Conference

Day 4 of The Mom Conference Starts April 10th!

I did a lot of sewing yesterday (on my daughter’s Frozen Elsa costume), so I listened to a few of The Mom Conference speakers while I worked away. I played the videos on my iPhone.

I listened to Holly Rigsby talk about fitness and she inspired me to get moving. Katie of WellnessMama.com gave 5 Practical Natural Remedies for Moms. Now that’s one video I would like to watch over again – so many great ideas for easy, natural DIY remedies for what ails you and the kids. I’m also glad I listened to Nicole Carpenter speaking on “Define Your Time.” I love the way she phrases a “no” response to a request of your time. I think I have to resolve to say no more often!

Because I was doing so much sewing, I also squeezed in Dino and Shannon’s talk about their Top 3 Successful Marriage Tips. What great advice, and so simple and easy to use in your own marriage – mostly it was reminders to actually TALK with your husband. In this day and age, it’s easy to forget to communicate.

Sometimes it can be tough being a mom and homemaker, and it’s great to have access to these daily videos!

Each day of the conference, a new set of 4 videos is up for viewing at The Mom Conference site for a FREE 24-hour viewing/listening period.

Here is the exciting line-up for today:

  • April Perry of powerofmoms.com
Helping Busy Moms Keep Their Focus
  • Hannah Brencher of moreloveletters.com
Feel Connected in a Disconnected World
  • Ashley Mills of thehandmadehome.net
    Decluttering & Design
  • Abby Smith of twistmepretty.com
5 Quick Hair Styles That Can be Done in Under 10 Minutes
  • Toni Roberts of designdazzle.com
The Perfect Party Decorations That Are Easy & Inexpensive

I think I may need to make time to watch “Helping Busy Moms Keep Their Focus,” myself. Come watch ONLINE with me and be inspired and encouraged today!

Mom Conference Day 3: Free Online Apr 9

The Mom Conference

Day 3 of The Mom Conference Starts April 9th!

I was so busy yesterday but I still managed to tune into a couple of The Mom Conference speakers. I played the conference videos on my iPhone once again and listened to them while I worked!

I listened to Jordan Page talk about “Getting Out of Debt”. She went step by step over how to create a budget. Then I listened to Jenny Layton speaking on “Get and Stay Organized”. Her advice was so useful! She went step-by-step in detail over how to take a space and get it organized. I put this into action right away – started sorting “that closet” – you know the one I mean, I bet you have one too! Jenny said: “Things can be an energy drain.” It’s so true! Stuff can really clutter your mind and drag you down. I have renewed resolve to get rid of it in my home! She also mentioned a handy item called a “Swoop Bag” that opens up into a play mat and then you just swoop up everything in the mat and it becomes a bag! I WISH I had this when my kids were younger. In fact…I might still be able to use one with my youngest…hmmm…

Sometimes it can be tough being a mom and homemaker, and it’s great to have access to these daily videos!

Each day of the conference, a new set of 4 videos is up for viewing at The Mom Conference site for a FREE 24-hour viewing/listening period.

Here are the incredible speakers and their topics for today:

  • Holly Rigsby of getfitandyummy.com

The Mom Conference Day 2: FREE Online Apr 8

Day 2 of The Mom Conference Starts April 8th!

It was so great to tune into The Mom Conference yesterday. I made time to listen to two of the speakers – I played the conference videos on my iPhone and listened to them while I worked!

Amy McCready of positiveparentingsolutions.com talked about how to Get Kids to Cooperate Without Yelling or Nagging. I put her “when-then statement” into practice immediately with my kids! I love my crockpot and I enjoyed getting some tips from Stephanie Brandt Cornais of mamaandbabylove.com on Crock-Pot Freezer Meals. What a great idea, to prep multiple crockpot meals in advance, freeze them, and then just pop them into the crockpot every morning!

Sometimes it can be tough being a mom (I had one of those days yesterday) and it’s great to have access to these daily videos!

Each day of the conference, a new set of 4 videos will be made available on The Mom Conference site for a FREE 24-hour viewing/listening period.
