Sydney: Library Used Book Sale – May 10-19

Used Book Sale

The Cape Breton Regional Library will be holding a Used Book Sale from Thursday, May 10 at 5:00 P.M., to Saturday, May 19 at 5:00 P.M at the McConnell Library. The sale will run during regular library hours.  The Library will be selling thousands of good, used books to make room for new materials. The sale will include adult and children’s books in both paperback and hardcover at very good prices. This is a fund raiser for the Library and all proceeds of the book sale will be used to supplement and support the programs and services of the Cape Breton Regional Library. (The Friends of the McConnell Library Pre-Sale will be held on May 10 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. This Pre-sale is open to members of the Friends of McConnell Library only. Membership for the Friends group is available at the Library). For more information on the sale, ask at the desk or phone 562-3161 or 562-3279.

NSHEA Parents Show and Tell – Tantallon Library – Nov. 26

NSHEA’s first show and tell will be held at the Tantallon library on Saturday, November 26th at 10:30 am.  The discussion will be on all things math!  Librarian Lucas, will have resources available to look at and borrow, and there will be several math programs to take a look at. If you have something cool you’d like to share, please bring it along!

Board games and other activities will be available to amuse the children while the parents chat.
